Inauguration of the Japan Platform for Redesign: Sustainable Infrastructure (September 8, 2020)

Minister Koizumi attended the inauguration ceremony of the Japan Platform for Redesign: Sustainable Infrastructure together with 277 corporations including private business who works on the overseas business expansion of the environmentally sustainable infrastructure. The platform's activities include sharing the information and business matching among the members and supporting the project formation.

The Online Platform for Sustainable and Resilient Recovery from COVID-19 ("Platform for Redesign 2020") Ministerial Meeting (September 3, 2020)

Minister Koizumi chaired the Ministerial Meeting of the Online Platform for Sustainable and Resilient Recovery from COVID-19. Japan chaired the ministerial meeting on climate change for the first time since COP3 when the Kyoto Protocol was adopted. Ninety-six countries participated in this meeting, including by way of video messages and written statements.

Meeting with Mauritian Minister of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change (September 3, 2020)

Minister Koizumi and Vice Minister Sato had an online meeting with Minister Kavydass Ramano of Mauritius. Minister Koizumi explained that the Japanese Government would continue to support the Mauritian Government for the oil spills off the coast of Mauritius and shared the same recognition.
