Akayu Kouzan-so

Akayu Kouzan-so

This is the only inn at Akayu Onsen, a hot spring surrounded by natural woods of Japanese beech, white birch, and oak. Being such a deep red it can stain your towel, the water of the indoor bath is effective against neuralgia and rheumatism. You can enjoy the cloudy water of the sulfur spring in the open-air bath, with its soothing intimate greenery, or in the rooftop Kin-un-no-yu, exclusively for the use of guests at the inn. A natural vista can be enjoyed season-by-season from any of the rooms, and the simple and rustic atmosphere soothes the fatigue of daily life.

MESSAGE

My husband takes pleasure in entertaining people. Everyone seems to enjoy his eloquent welcome speech on our shuttle bus from the station. Many hikers visit us since we offer self-catering accommodation which is unique in the area. The open-air bath in the annex and the iron tub kamaburo on an elevated structure are actually both hand-made by my husband. We welcome you to enjoy our pride ‘red hot springs’ in the refreshing environment.
