Usagidaira Campsite

Usagidaira Campsite

Located at an elevation of 1,576 m in the center of the Bandaiazuma Skyline with the foothills of Azuma-Kofuji extending to the west, this is a tranquil campsite hidden away in a virgin forest of Japanese white pine, Japanese hemlock, and Erman’s birch. The campsite has a rustic feel given by a wooden deck, grass, and soil and is very comfortable with a clean kitchen and toilets. There is a nature sightseeing path from Okenuma to Torikodaira wetlands, offering a wide range of pleasures – from nature watching to mountain climbing and hiking.

MESSAGE

Not having an autocamp, the Joudodaira camp site in the national park is more popular with experienced campers rather than beginners. Many campers use the hot springs of Tsuchiyu Onsen and Takayu Onsen located at the approach to Bandaiazuma Skyline in place of a bath.
