Groups of persons with disabilities who have physical disability certificates, intellectual disability certificates, or mental disability certificates, and one assistant per person, are entitled to free admission when a person in charge of a welfare institution, group home, or other institutions sends or submits the application form (currently Japanese form only) in advance.
Please send the application by one week in advance of your visit by e-mail to the address below or submit the form to the Shinjuku Gyoen Management Office or the Information Center. If the application is approved, a "free entry approval notification" will be sent to the applicant. Present the approval notification sent by e-mail at the ticket counter when the group visits the garden so that it is not necessary for each person to show their disability certificate.
*Please note that free admission will be applied only if the certificates are issued in Japan.
*Please make sure to write the e-mail address of a person in charge of the institution on the application for the reply.
