While small hydropower is a type of renewable energy
source with large potential for introduction in the coming years, numerous entries
of various types of enterprises to the manufacture of generators, etc. have made
it essential to verify the performance of generators, etc. from an objective
viewpoint. In view of such circumstances, the ETV Program has begun the examination
and verification of small hydropower generation technologies as target technologies
in FY 2013.
