The Ministry of the Environment has supported the “Project for supporting the incubation of firms in the field of venous industry and promoting the spread of Japanese waste management and recycling technologies overseas” since 2011 in order to promote transfer of Japanese waste management and recycling technologies. In 2013 the program was renamed the “Incubation and Overseas Promotion of Waste Management and Recycling Industry”. Based on existing environmental bilateral cooperation in the field of waste management, Japan is assisting its advanced waste management and recycling industry to deploy sophisticated infrastructure technology internationally.
At the 4th Regional 3R Forum in Asia, in collaboration with representatives from the Japanese Waste Management and Recycling Industry, Japan provided an introduction to the Japanese waste management and 3R systems, in order to promote technology transfer in Asia and the Pacific by the Japanese waste management and recycling industry.

As a side event at the Fifth Regional 3R Forum in Asia and the Pacific, Japan and Indonesia co-organized International 3R Exhibition. Japan has assisted exhibition of uniting Japanese business and related entities through a Japanese pavilion which promoted 3R and explained the Japanese waste management and recycling industry.
Business matching and presentations were held in the Japan pavilion in order to facilitate contact and communication between representatives of the Japanese waste management and recycling industry and representatives from the environmental departments of the Asia-Pacific member states and local governments in Indonesia as well as create opportunities for business development.

As a side event at the Sixth Regional 3R Forum in Asia and the Pacific, International 3R Exhibition was held. Japanese waste management and recycling industry was introduced through Japanese pavilion in the exhibition. Exhibitors and Ministry of the Environment Japan introduced Japanese waste management and recycling industry to participants from Asia-Pacific countries and Maldives by video presentations at the venue.

As a side event at the Seventh Regional 3R Forum in Asia and the Pacific, International 3R Exhibition was held. Japanese waste management and recycling industry was introduced through Japanese pavilion in the exhibition. Japanese exhibiters attended the Round table discussion on Nov 4th to discuss and exchange information with representatives from Asian Pacific countries participated in the Forum.

As a parallel event at the Eighth Regional 3R Forum in Asia and the Pacific, the International 3R Exhibition was held. The whole circular industry, waste management and 3R systems in Japan were introduced and explained through Japanese exhibition booths.
Japanese exhibitors attended the roundtable discussion on April 12 to discuss and exchange opinions with representatives from Asian and the Pacific countries participating in the Forum.
