Conventions and Agreements for Protection of Migratory Birds
Japan has concluded conventions for the protection of migratory birds with the United States and Russia, and agreements for the protection of migratory birds with Australia and China, under which the United States, Russia, and Australia mutually report with Japan on endangered birds in their countries and implement import and export regulations.

The reported species are restricted from being distributed in Japan as internationally endangered species of wild fauna and flora under the Act on Conservation of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
