Act on Conservation of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora

In principle, the capture, etc. (capture, collection, killing, wounding, and damaging) of living individuals of species designated as nationally endangered species of wild fauna and flora and urgent endangered species is prohibited for the sake of species conservation. However, in the case of capturing, etc. for the purpose of academic research, breeding, education, or research on the habitat or growth of individuals, it can be carried out after obtaining permission from the Minister of the Environment.
