Park Etiquette

In order for everyone to have a pleasant experience, the visitors to the national parks are advised to respect nature and observe the following:

  • Do not throw away any trash.
  • Do not pick wild flowers/damage plants.
  • Do not feed wild animals.
  • No hunting or fishing.
  • No smoking while walking.
  • Bonfires / recreational fires are only permitted in designated areas.

  • Do not enter areas outside the boardwalks and footpaths. As the flora inhabiting the wetlands are fragile, visitors are advised to take account not to trample around and touch the flora.

  • Caution: Asian black bears about!

  • Be sure to have a map handy when walking the hiking routes and turn back if you get lost. Also, be sure to choose a mountain that matches your physical strength and skills.

  • Be sure to use a restroom prior to start climbing and consider using plastic bags for toilets while climbing. Be sure to bring back a used toilet paper if you must relieve nature for a compelling reason.
