Maintenance and Management of Mountain Trails

The Repair Work of Mountain Trails
While Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park has been visited by a host of mountain climbers, there are concerns that climbers walk pass each other broadening out the mountain trails and making double tracks, affecting the surrounding vegetation. For the maintenance and management of mountain trails, the government, local residents and climbers work together to repair mountain trails and to clarify the route of passage with the aim of protecting and restoring the vegetation, as well as the preservation of landscapes.
Clean-up Activities

Clean-up Activities
Some mountain trails and around lodges used by many people suffer from litter. The local residents, government, and volunteers work hand-in-hand in clean-up activities to offer a pleasant experience for visitors.
