The Second Meeting of the Regional EST Forum in Asia to Be Held

Ministry of the Environment Japan, United Nations Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD), and Ministry of Environment Indonesia will jointly organize the Second Meeting of the Regional EST (Environmentally Sustainable Transport) Forum in Asia, which facilitates the high-level policy dialogue among governments in Asian countries.

In the Meeting, all the participating countries will report on their current environment and transport related conditions, and share best practices. They will also discuss the issues and measures to promote EST in consultation with academic experts and representatives of relevant international organizations. The Meeting will be held in collaboration with the Better Air Quality 2006 Workshop (December 13-15 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia).
