“Forum on Promoting Business Engagement and Matching through the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) to Expand Indonesia’s Carbon Market” to Be Held in Jakarta

1. The Mini stry of the Environment (MOE) of Japan, together with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs (CMEA) and the Ministry of Environment (KLH) of the Republic of Indonesia, will host a business forum titled:
 “Forum on Promoting Business Engagement and Matching through the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) to Expand Indonesia’s Carbon Market”, in Jakarta on August 21, 2025.
 
2. The forum will bring together private companies and government agencies from both Japan and Indonesia to share updates on:
 The current implementation of the JCM in Indonesia
 Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) signed in November last year
 Indonesia’s GHGs emission reduction certification (SPEI)
 
3. To support the development of JCM projects, the event will feature:
 Business pitch presentations showcasing advanced technologies and solutions applicable to the JCM
 One-on-one business matching and consultation sessions
 
4. The forum aims to accelerate the formation of decarbonization projects in Indonesia.
