ECO ASIA

What is ECO ASIA?

ECO ASIA (Environment Congress for Asia and the Pacific), hosted by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment yearly since 1991, aims to provide a forum for free and open exchange of views among environmental ministers in the region. Under ECO ASIA, two international workshops were held from 1994 to 2001: "The International Workshop for ECO ASIA Long-term Perspective Project" and "The International Workshop for ECO ASIA NET". Based on its ten years experience, the subsidiary ECO ASIA PANEL was launched in 2002.
