ここでは、サステナブルファッションを実現していくための方向性に関する議論の状況を紹介します。

繊維産業小委員会
The Textile Industry Subcommittee
経済産業省の設置する「繊維産業⼩委員会」では、変わりゆく産業構造や社会構造を踏まえて、2030 年に向けた繊維産業の⽅向性に係る検討を進めています。環境配慮等のサステナビリティへの対応を検討し、2024年6月25日には「繊維産業におけるサステナビリティ推進等に関する議論の中間とりまとめ」を発表しました。（2026年3月現在）
The Textile Industry Subcommittee established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is advancing discussions on the direction of the textile industry toward 2030, taking into account the changing industrial and social structures. It is examining methods for achieving sustainability, including environmental considerations On June 25, 2024, the ministry released the “Interim Summary of Discussions on Promoting Sustainability in the Textile Industry.” (As of March 2026)

繊維製品における
資源循環システム検討会
Study Group on Resource Circulation Systems
for Textile Products
経済産業省と環境省は、繊維製品の資源循環システムの構築に向けた技術的・制度的課題を整理し、課題解決に向けた方向性を議論・検討するため、2023年１月に「繊維製品における資源循環システム検討会」を設置し、2023年９月に報告書を掲載しました。（2026年3月現在）
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of the Environment established the “Study Group on Resource Circulation Systems for Textile Products” in January 2023 to organize technical and institutional issues in building a resource circulation system for textile products and to discuss and examine directions for resolving these challenges. They published a report in September 2023. (As of March 2026)

Study Group on Sustainable and Circular Fashion
環境省は、我が国における循環型ファッションの推進及び衣類の廃棄量の削減に向けた方向性について幅広く検討し、「サステナブルファッションの推進に向けたアクションプラン」の取りまとめを行うことを目的として、2025年度に「持続可能で循環型であるファッションに関する検討会」を設置しました。（2026年3月時点）
The Ministry of the Environment established the “Study Group on Sustainable and Circular Fashion” in 2025 to broadly examine ways to promote circular fashion and reduce clothing waste in Japan, with the aim of compiling an “Action Plan for Promoting Sustainable Fashion”. (As of March 2026)
