北欧閣僚理事会（Nordic Council of Minsters）が導入した制度。多国間の制度としては世界で初めて導入された。EUのエコラベルと協力関係にある。
要求事項を満たす商品に対してラベルの使用を認めるもの。

原材料の採取、または天然資源の産出から最終処分に至るプロセスにおける環境負荷を考慮してクライテリアを策定している。
参加国のいずれか一つが原案を作成する。
- 認定手続

商品の認定手続は以下の通り。
- 申請する基準があるか確認する。
- ノルディックエコラベリング・ポータル（以下、ポータル）上で申請する。
- 「Request login」から、ポータルでアカウントを作成する。
- ポータルにアクセスする前に申請ガイドを閲覧する。
- どの国のノルディックスワン機関に申請するか選択し、申請書を提出する。
- ノルディックスワン機関が評価担当者（アドバイザー）を任命し、やり取りを行う。
- 製品によっては、サプライヤーに書類を提供してもらう必要があり、ポータル上で確認ができる。
