FY2026 Interministerial Meeting on Bear Damage Countermeasures

Minister Sasagawa, State Minister Mitsubayashi and Parliamentary Vice-Minister Ishihara attended the “FY2026 Interministerial Meeting on Bear Damage Countermeasures.” Participants shared information to promote close cooperation among relevant ministries and agencies regarding bear damage countermeasures. Minister Sasagawa instructed the relevant ministries and agencies to take every possible measure to alert the public in preparation for the increase in bear appearances this fall, and to accelerate the implementation of countermeasures.
