2nd meeting of the Task Force regarding oil spill

Parliamentary Vice-Minister Morishita participated in the 2nd meeting of Task Force held in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture to confirm the safety of the marine environment following the oil spill incident at Shiogama Harbor in March 2026. In the task force, based on the investigation results by the relevant organization, a safety declaration for the fishing grounds was issued. She also visited the affected nori (seaweed) cultivation of the fisheries cooperative to observe preparation state for the next season.
