1st Inter-Ministerial Meeting on Comprehensive Measures for Lithium-ion Batteries

Minister Ishihara attended the 1st Inter-Ministerial Meeting on Comprehensive Measures for Lithium-ion Batteries. In his opening address, he requested relevant ministries and agencies to collaborate in urging citizens and businesses to prevent fires caused by lithium-ion batteries and to properly sort and collect them. He also asked them to consolidate effective measures from each ministry toward finalizing a comprehensive countermeasure package by the end of the year.
