Visit to the affected areas of the Noto Peninsula and meeting with Governor Hase of Ishikawa Prefecture

Minister Asao visited Ishikawa Prefecture and observed the state of areas, including disaster waste management related to the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake and heavy rain. He also exchanged views with Governor Hase of Ishikawa Prefecture, and confirmed an increase of the number of demolition teams to achieve the intermediate target within 2024 and cooperation in smooth, prompt, safe and appropriate implementation of the demolition work.
