Visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

State Minister Yagi joined the 8th Japan-Vietnam Environmental Policy Dialogue held in Hanoi, where he exchanged views on bilateral cooperation concerning climate change, plastic pollution, waste management, other subjects, and signed the renewal of the Memorandum of Cooperation on the Environment. He also participated in the completion ceremony of a waste-to-energy plant in Bac Ninh Province, the construction of which made use of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM).
