National Tree-Planting Festival
June 4 and 5, 2023
With the presence of Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan, the 73th National Tree-Planting Festival was held in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture. From the Ministry of the Environment, State Minister Yamada attended the festival. She also visited Miyako City and Kuji City in Iwate Prefecture, which were selected as Decarbonization Leading Areas, and the Sanriku Fukko (reconstruction) National Park.
