Visit to Awaji City and Sumoto City Awaji and Sumoto Cities in Hyogo Prefecture

Parliamentary Vice-Minister Kunisada exchanged views with Mr. Kado, Mayor of Awaji City, which has been selected as a Decarbonization Leading Area. There, he observed a bamboo chipping factory for biomass power generation and the Yumebutai Sustainable Park. Then, in Sumoto City, he exchanged views with Mr. Uesaki, Mayor of Sumoto City, and observed a biomass boiler using bamboo chips and a maintenance site in abandoned bamboo groves.
