U7 Mayors Summit 2023

Parliamentary Vice-Minister Yanagimoto participated in the U7 Mayors Summit 2023, where he explained Japan's approach toward the G7 Ministers’ Meeting on Climate, Energy and Environment in Sapporo. He stated the importance of deepening understanding on the role of national governments in promoting urban actions through dialogue with the Urban 7 (U7) and that the issue will be discussed within the G7 as well. After the U7 Mayors Summit, the Mayor of Kobe City and others presented the U7 Mayors Declaration.
