Visit to the Environmental Startup Awards Winner

Parliamentary Vice-Minister Hosaka visited EF Polymer Private Limited (Onna Village, Okinawa Prefecture), which received the Minister's Award of the Environmental Startup Awards. He was briefed about its organic super absorbent polymer (EF polymer) made from  inedible parts of food such as fruit peel, which can be used for agricultural activities. He also visited the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) and exchanged views on research related to coral reef conservation.
