Opinion exchange meeting in Niigata Prefecture during national tour of the Environmental Policy Dialogue

Parliamentary Vice-Minister Nakagawa visited Niigata Prefecture as part of the national tour of the Environmental Policy Dialogue. He exchanged opinions with the vice governor of Niigata Prefecture, the vice mayor of Niigata City, the mayor of Sado City, and local stakeholders on the next steps to decarbonize the region. He also visited the Niigata Plant of MITSUBISHI GAS CHEMICAL COMPANY, INC., which is promoting efforts to produce methanol from CO₂, biogas, and other various raw materials that were collected.
