*Message of H.E. Mr. ISHIBA Shigeru, Prime Minister of Japan

I would like to extend my congratulations on holding the 2025 P4G Hanoi Summit. The world is facing a complex crisis, and action by diverse stakeholders is more essential than ever. In this context, the P4G network is very timely as it facilitates collaboration among various partners. Let me pay tribute to the initiative of the host country, Vietnam. Japan and Vietnam marked their 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2023. Last year, as Prime Minister, I had a meeting with President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, where we confirmed that we would strengthen relationships under the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World”. Japan will continue to cooperate with countries around the world in areas such as climate change, on which the P4G focuses, and will deepen cooperation with Vietnam and the world.
