Funding to the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures （TNFD）

1. The Ministry of the Environment (MOE), Japan, has decided to fund approximately $500,000 (the total of direct and indirect support) to the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) over a two-year period, and this was announced on October 28 (local time in the Republic of Colombia), at a side event hosted by the G7 Alliance for a Nature-Positive Economy (G7ANPE) during the 16th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP16). 

2. Through this funding, MOE Japan will accelerate collaboration with the TNFD by conducting joint research and participating in the launch of the TNFD Data Facility. In this way, MOE Japan will promote the nature-related financial disclosure in Japan and overseas, thereby contributing to the international standardization of disclosure.
