New Establishment of the Webpage for Indicators and Best Practices on Circular Economy in the G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue Portal Site

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE), Japan, has newly established, in collaboration with the other G20 countries, a webpage to provide circular economy and resource efficiency indicators, targets, and best practices of 13 countries and the EU, on the G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue portal site (https://g20re.org/).

In the communiqué of the G20 Environment Ministers’ Meeting held in 2021, a request was made to the G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue for further development of the portal site as well as sharing of information on circular economy and resource efficiency in the respective countries. In accordance with this request, MOE Japan took the initiative to launch the new webpage.
 
MOE Japan will promote the circular economy through the G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue, by adding and updating the initiatives of each country to the portal site.

-The G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue
The G20 Resource Efficiency Dialogue was agreed upon at the Leaders' Declaration of the G20 Hamburg Summit held in Germany in 2017. The G20 countries have been sharing knowledge and experiences with the aim of improving the efficiency and sustainability of natural resource use and promoting sustainable consumption and production.
