These are the waters in the vicinity of the mouth of the Omono River in Akita Prefecture. Since it has few dams or other river facilities the Omono River is a river whose watershed retains many natural features, and as a result numerous species swim upstream from these waters. They also include the breeding grounds of numerous bird species.
