These waters include Nyuzu Bay, Motosaru Bay, Kamae Bay, Inokushi Bay, Nagoya Bay, and others in the city of Saiki, Oita Prefecture. Nyuzu Bay is an enclosed bay that is shallow at its mouth, and it is quite active as a site for fisheries industries including aquaculture. These waters spread out along a typical ria coastline.
