Eco Car World 2006 (Low Emission Vehicle Fair) to Be Held

The Ministry of the Environment, the Environmental Restoration and Conservation Agency, and Yokohama City will jointly organize the fair "Eco Car World 2006" in order to enhance public understanding and acceptance of low emission vehicles. These vehicles are an effective measure for the prevention of global warming and air pollution by nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) seen particularly in metropolitan areas. At the fair, various low emission vehicles will be exhibited and test-driven, and educational activities to enhance public awareness of Eco Drive will be offered.

Ms. Koike, Minister of the Environment will attend the opening ceremony which will start at noon on June 3.

Sunday, June 4, 2006 10:00 - 16:00

Satellite venue: Sakuragi-cho station square

Fees: There is no admission fee.
