A ministerial ordinance partially amending the Ministerial Ordinance on Standards for Verification concerning Industrial Wastes containing Metals, etc. was promulgated on December 15, 2006. The purpose of the amendment is to ensure implementation of the 1996 Protocol to the Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and Other Matter 1972.
