Online Platform on Sustainable and Resilient Recovery from COVID-19

On June 1, 2020, at the opening of the June Momentum for Climate Change organized by UNFCCC Secretariat, Minister of the Environment, Mr. Koizumi Shinjiro, in his video message, invited countries to participate in the Online Platform to discuss climate actions and environmental protection measures related to the recovery from the COVID-19. Minister Koizumi originally proposed this Online Platform at the Petersberg Climate Dialogue XI held on April 28, 2020.

Minister of the Environment, Mr. Koizumi Shinjiro, invited countries to participate in the "Online Platform" to discuss climate actions and environmental protection measures in the context of recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic at the Opening of the June Momentum for Climate Change* organized by UNFCCC Secretariat at 19:00-22:00 (JST) on June 1, 2020.

Ministry of the Environment will continue the discussions with the UNFCCC Secretariat and other concerned parties on the details of the Platform and will send out the invitations to all the countries in due course.

*June Momentum is a series of online events that offers an opportunity for Parties and other stakeholders to continue exchanging views and sharing information in order to maintain momentum in the UNFCCC process and to showcase how climate action is progressing under the special circumstances the world is currently facing.
