Results of the 4th Meeting of the Indonesia-Japan Joint Policy Study Working Group and Technical Seminar in North Sumatra Province

The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) of Japan held the 4th meeting of the Indonesia-Japan joint policy study working group with the Deputy VII, State Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Indonesia (KLH), the Environment Agency of North Sumatra Province, the Environment Agency of Langkat Regency and the PTPN II model factory on the 25th of September, 2013, and hosted a technical seminar on industrial wastewater management on the 26-27th of September, 2013 in Medan, Indonesia.

Results of the Joint Policy Study Working Group are as follows. (September 25, 2013):
- Japanese participants explained the plan to sum up the results of Indonesia-Japan joint policy study.
- Indonesian participants reported current status and efforts on their task of the joint policy research, and Japanese experts gave advices on their respective problems.
- We discussed the contents of the "guideline on measure of wastewater treatment in CPO manufacturing plants".

The contents of technical Seminar are as follows.:
- Sample analysis for environmental monitoring (September 26, 2013)
- Method of handling environmental monitoring data and method of data analysis (September 27, 2013)
