The 17th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN) Held

The 17th annual Inter-Governmental and Scientific Planning Group (IGM/SPG) Meeting of APN was held on March 14-16 in Jakarta (Indonesia).

APN is an intergovernmental network on global change research and capacity building in the Asia-Pacific region with 22 member countries.

The meeting discussed and approved the 2012 annual activities of APN. Highlights were the approval of new activities on climate mitigation to support low carbon development and on the climate adaptation program to support the Cancun Adaptation Framework, both proposed by Japan. It is expected to further strengthen activities in various areas on global change research in the region.
