Enforcement of Amended Wildlife Protection and Hunting Law and Partial Amendment to the Enforcement Ordinance of the Wildlife Protection and Hunting Law

In June this year, an amendment to the Wildlife Protection and Hunting Law was promulgated in order to achieve appropriate wildlife management. The amendment will become effective on April 16, 2007.

Following this change, an amendment to the enforcement ordinance of the law will be endorsed by the Cabinet on October 6, 2006. As the result, those who wish to import specified wildlife will be required to pay the 1700 yen commission for the bird band, starting on April 16, 2007.
