First meeting of the "National Committee for IYB" to be held

This year is the "International Year of Biodiversity" as proclaimed by the United Nations. The UN's decision has encouraged all its member states to set up a National Committee to mark the celebration of IYB, with representatives from all the stakeholders including businesses, youth, and academic.
In accordance with the UN's request, the government of Japan will form the National Committee for IYB, with its first meeting dubbed as the "Committee for Life on Earth", to take place on January 25.
The ceremony for "My Action Declaration" by the "Life on Earth" Supporters' Club members will be held following the meeting.
