Japan Automobile Recycling Promotion Center (JARC) underpaid for airbags recovery costs.

Under the Automobile Recycling Law, JARC's major responsibility is to manage the recycling fees deposited by vehicle owners and to pay the recycling costs of parts of End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) in the automotive recycling system to dismantlers and recyclers through automobile manufacturers.
This time, JARC reported to the MOE, the case of underpayment for airbags recovery charge of some of the ELVs. The MOE and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry warned JARC and dictated the payment of underpaid costs and the investigation of the cause of the case.
