Campaign against Abandonment of Pet Animals
Considering the ever-continuing cases of pet animal abandonment and the risk that such animals harm people and local ecosystems, the MOE launches a campaign against abandonment of pet animals, particularly those of alien species. Announcing a statement from the Director-General of the Nature Conservation Bureau and distributing handouts and posters targeted at current and potential pet owners, the MOE calls for responsible care for pet animals. The campaign seeks cooperation from pet industries and municipal governments. Abandonment of pet animals and designated "Invasive Alien Species" is prohibited by laws.
