Official Visit by the 28th Blue Planet Prize Awards Recipients, Prof. Eric Lambin of Belgium and Prof. Jared Diamond of USA

In 1992, the year of the Earth Summit, the Blue Planet Prize was established to recognize outstanding individuals whose scientific research or applications of science contribute to solving global environmental problems. Prof. Lambin teaches at Universite Catholique de Louvain and Stanford. Dr. Diamond is a renowned environmental historian, Pulitzer-Prize winning author, and professor at UCLA.
