Official Visit by Mr. Jacob Duer, President and CEO of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) and Dr. Martin Kayser, SVP of Product Safety, BASF

State Minister Ishihara welcomed Mr. Duer of AEPW and Dr. Kayser of BASF, the world's leading chemical group. AEPW is made up of 40+ major global companies and BASF is its co-founding member. They have discussed opportunities to tackle the issue of marine litter. (Prior to joining AEPW, Mr. Duer was a director of the chemicals and health section of the UNEP.)
