Dose rate maps used here are the monitoring data released by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) (at that time).1

  1. For the three days from March 12 to March 14, which are included in the period (March 12 to March 15, 2011) during which the monitoring data released by MEXT (at that time) is not available, calculation results by SPEEDI (System for Prediction of Environmental Emergency Dose Information) using the data on radioactive material discharge released by the Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (at that time) in June 2011 were applied.
    Data for March 15 was assumed to be the same as that for March 16, and from March 16 onward, the monitoring data released by MEXT (at that time) was used.
