Ecological risk assessment of PPCPs under the Initial Environmental Risk Assessment of Chemicals

The Ministry of the Environment have conducted Initial Environmental Risk Assessments of Chemicals, covering risks both to human health and to organisms in the environment, in order to screen chemical substances that may pose relatively high risks. (For details of this programme, please see Initial Environmental Risk Assessment of Chemicals.) The table below summarises the results of the ecological risk assessments conducted for pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs).
