Countermeasures against pollution-related health damage

 Based on the “Act on Compensation for Pollution-related Health Damage” (Act No. 111 of  1973, hereinafter referred to as Pollution-related Health Damage Compensation Law), and giving consideration to the polluter pays principle, Japan implements compensation benefits and pollution-related health care and welfare project for certified patients and provide prompt and fair relief.
