Progress of Reliability Evaluation and Tests
In a series of programs on endocrine disrupting effect of chemicals (current: EXTEND 2022), Ministry of the Environment (MOE) is implementing reliability evaluation of existing literature and two-tiered testing and assessment.
"Reliability evaluation": Reliability of existing knowledge and information on the concerned chemicals are evaluated.
- "Tier 1": Prioritization of "Chemicals that can be subjected to tests for endocrine disrupting effects" identified through the reliability evaluation, and implementation of Tier 1 testing.
- "Tier 2": Implementation of Tier 2 testing. "Chemicals with actions relevant to endocrine disruption" judged through Tier 1 assessment are to be candidates.
The following table is the list of chemical substances which MOE has implemented evaluation and/or testing. Only the summary of results and Tier 1 in vivo test results are available in English.
