4-2Yodogawa Trail Entrance - Mt. Miyanoura round trip (day trip)

This round-trip route runs from the Yodogawa Trail Entrance to Mt. Miyanoura, the highest peak in the Kyushu region. It has several highlights including mountain ridges spotted with strangely shaped rocks, and the Hananoego Marsh. It requires equipment and decision-making skills and is therefore only for experienced climbers.

  • Kuromidake Branch The Kuromidake Branch. A sign giving directions is located at the junction of the hiking trail to Mt. Kuromi from the trail to Mt. Miyanoura.
  • Nageishidaira Nageishidaira. Nageishidaira is an open area ideal for a rest on the exposed boulders. The boulders are famous as a site for views of the nearby Mt. Kuromi and the ocean.
