Results of a Bilateral Meeting between KOBAYASHI Fumiaki, State Minister of the Environment of Japan and H.E. Ms. Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga, Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources of the Philippines

１．On December 18, 2024, KOBAYASHI Fumiaki, State Minister of the Environment of Japan, had a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ms. Maria Antonia Yulo Loyzaga, Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources of the Philippines.

 

２．At the meeting, they confirmed that they would cooperate to hold the “Philippines-Japan Environment Week" on January 13-15, 2025, which comprises the first environmental policy dialogue based on the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, business matching, seminars and other events, and would advance environmental cooperation in the future through such opportunities.

 

３．In addition, they exchanged views on waste management, including E-waste (waste from electrical and electronic equipment), and climate change adaptation, and confirmed that they would continue to cooperate.
