Japan’s 2023 G7 Presidency Concluding Event
The Ministry of the Environment (MOE) together with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan will host “Japan’s 2023 G7 Presidency Concluding Event” on December 9, 2023, at the Japan Pavilion during COP28 being held in Dubai.

3. Outline
・The objective of this event is to express Japan’s appreciation to all G7 members for their cooperation and support in 2023, including at the G7 Ministers’ Meeting on Climate, Energy and Environment held in April this year in Sapporo, and to summarize, as G7 Presidency, efforts in the field of climate, energy and environment by G7 in 2023.
・With this Event, the G7 Presidency will be transferred to Italy, the next G7 Presidency. Japan will convey its expectations for Italy's leadership in promoting various initiatives launched in 2023 in the G7 Ministers’ Communiqué.
・Italy’s Minister of Environment and Energy Security will share with G7 members his hopes and outlook for G7 in 2024.
・With this Event, the G7 Presidency will be transferred to Italy, the next G7 Presidency. Japan will convey its expectations for Italy's leadership in promoting various initiatives launched in 2023 in the G7 Ministers’ Communiqué.
