Japan and Ukraine Sign Aide Memoire on Cooperation in the Field of Environmental Protection

 On November 14, 2022, on the occasion of the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP27) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) being held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, NISHIMURA Akihiro, Minister of the Environment, Japan, and H.E. Mr. Ruslan STRILETS, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, signed an Aide Memoire on cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
  The two countries intend to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of environmental protection.

 The Ministry of the Environment, Japan and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine confirmed their intention to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of environmental protection. Each party agreed to appoint a high-level officer responsible for the coordination and discuss specific details of cooperation.
