Invitation for submissions of measurement methods for evaluating very small amounts of PCB contained in insulating oil and recommendations for neutral institutions for evaluating those methods

Because labels and nameplates cannot identify the presence of very small amounts of PCB, many types of electrical machinery need to be checked whether they contain PCB. Therefore, it is important to establish a simple and inexpensive measurement system for securely and efficiently treating waste of electrical equipment containing very small amounts of PCB.

In these circumstances, the Ministry of the Environment invites submissions of measurement methods for evaluating very small amounts of PCB contained in insulating oil and recommendations for institutions evaluating these measurement methods objectively.
